What is a swimming safety buoy?

A swimming safety buoy is carried when swimming in open water. The buoy increases your safety – and that of the other swimmers – tremendously. At RESTUBE, we specialize in water safety products. The RESTUBE buoy – there are several variants for private use, as well as models for professional rescue – is a safety buoy stowed in a pouch that is attached to a strap worn around your waist. If you are in open water and pull the trigger, a screw-in CO2 cartridge inflates the buoy in seconds. The buoy provides you with extra buoyancy so you can rest and regain strength. You can also draw attention to yourself with the buoy by waving it or passing it to another person. Additional buoyancy in the water often immediately defuses a risky situation. A swimming safety buoy can be the most important accessory in open water swimming, just like a helmet is in cycling.

When is it necessary to use a safety buoy?

A swimming buoy is recommended for any activity in and around water, as a swimming buoy greatly increases safety. The additional buoyancy provided by a swimming buoy when needed can be crucial and quickly defuse a critical situation. Restube is the extremely compact version, because the buoy itself is packed in a pouch and inflated only when necessary via CO2 cartridge. Until then you can carry the buoy in the pouch on a strap around your waist or directly on your equipment. At the same time, you can enjoy complete freedom of movement and extreme freedom, knowing that additional buoyancy is just a pull of the trigger away. Safety buoys can also be inflated at any time using the mouth valve and used as a swimming buoy that you pull behind you in the water, providing you with permanent visibility. It has almost no resistance in the water and you can dive with it even through waves. It’s perfect for open water swimming such as in triathlons.

What materials are used for the manufacture of a safety buoy?

Nature and treating it responsibly are very important to us. That's why we use environmentally friendly processes and materials wherever we can. Our manufacturing is completely PVC free. Only high quality and durable nylon TPU material is used in all RESTUBE safety buoy models.

What is a safety buoy for?

Using a safety buoy during water activities increases the safety of the wearer and also of other people in the water. The buoy provides you with additional buoyancy when it is needed. If you carry a safety buoy yourself, you can also hand it to someone near you who may be in distress. This will prevent you from putting yourself in danger trying to help someone. You can also use a safety buoy to attract attention by waving it.

Alles super. Viel Auftrieb. Sehr zuverlässige Funktion. Leider etwas fummlig beim Einpacken - zumal man nach jeder Runde im Salzwasser auspacken, säubern und trocknen sollte.
@Restube: Denk mal darüber ob 1cm in Breite und Länge der Packtasche vielleicht deutlich mehr Nutzwert als Nachteil bringen würde

Passt gut, stört nicht. Durch die gelbe Farbe wird man beim Schwimmen im Freiwasser gut gesehen.

Tolles Produkt

Hallo zusammen, Ihr habt ein super Produkt gemacht, das es mir ermöglicht, entspannt quer durch einen See zu schwimmen. Einfach Klasse. Ihr wollt Feedback, um noch besser zu werden, hier meine Botschaften:
- die Tasche wirkt sehr knapp, vor allem mit der mitgelieferten Kartusche, mit den Ersatzkartuschen ist es etwas entspannter
- der Bauchgurt ist starr, elastisch wäre noch besser, weil der Bauch beim Schwimmen im Vergleich zu Stehen dünner ist. Dadurch ist der Gurt beim Schwimmen locker, auch wenn er im Stehen straff angezogen wurde
- außerdem habe ich mich etwas geärgert, dass es auch ein bundle mit einem drybag zum gleichen Preis gegeben hätte, das habe ich aber erst nach der Bestellung gesehen. So wird aus einem schönen Angebot eine kleines "Ärgernis", und das ist ja genau das Gegenteil von dem, was Ihr erreichen wollt.

Wie gesagt ein tolles Produkt, das ich nur weiterempfehlen kann.
